Global Payment Services (GPS) is pleased to announce enabling the Tokenization Service for its clients, this is a significant step towards digitization and securing cashless payments in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Tokenization allows end-user to securely store credit card information on mobile wallets in token format and without exposing the original card information to any of the intermediaries, which helps in preventing credit card fraud.
In this occasion the General Manager of GPS Mr. Ali Arab said “We are very proud to be at the forefront to enable all our clients in the Kingdom of Bahrain for Tokenization Service as part of the pilot run project of enabling contactless payments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the direction of the CBB and in coordination with the different stakeholders”.
يسر الشركة العالمية لخدمات الدفع (GPS) أن تعلن عن تجهيز خدمة الترميز للدفع اللا تلامسي (Tokenization) لجميع عملائها من البنوك والشركات. هذه خطوة هامة نحو التحول الرقمي وتأمين عمليات الدفع الرقمي عبر الهاتف المحمول في مملكة البحرين.
حيث تسمح هذه الخدمة للمستخدم بتخزين معلومات بطاقة الائتمان بشكل آمن جداً في محفظة الهاتف المحمول بشكل رمزي ودون إفشاء معلومات البطاقة الأصلية لأي طرف خلال عملية الدفع، مما يساعد على الحد من عمليات الاحتيال.
و بهذه المناسبة، صرح المدير العام لشركة (GPS) السيد علي عرب: “نحن فخورون جداً بأن تكون (GPS) في الطليعة لتمكين جميع عملائها في مملكة البحرين لخدمة الترميز كجزء من مشروع تجريبي لتشغيل المدفوعات غير التلامسية في مملكة البحرين، تحت إشراف مصرف البحرين المركزي وبالتنسيق مع مختلف الجهات المعنية”.
