Our History

Global Payment Services (GPS) was established in 2004 as a joint venture company based in Bahrain; 55% CrediMax, 25% Hightech Payment Systems (HPS) and 20% Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB). GPS is licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), Visa, MasterCard, JCB and UPI as a Third Party Service Provider, serving banks and financial institutions in the Middle East region.

GPS is specialized in the electronic payment Services and related Services, providing comprehensive, outsourced payment solutions such as debit and credit cards issuing, Point of Sales and ATM driving and Management; EMV cards personalization, customers’ correspondents printing, auto-mailing and dispatching, for and on behalf of banks and financial institutions in the Middle East region.

Starting March 2005 Global Payment Services has undertaken the complete processing of CrediMax, the largest credit card issuer and acquirer in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

GPS is the only certified JCB Processing Centre in GCC.
