Mr. Ahmed has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector spanning between Cards Business Operations, Corporate and Retail Banking, Digital Payments & Digital Banking, as well as Information Technology. Through-out his career, he successfully managed the set-up/establishment of cards business as well as digital banking for a number of banks.
Mr. Ahmed holds an executive MBA from UoB. To complement his field experience, he has completed advanced executive programs at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and CASS Business School, focusing on strategic leadership and digital innovation as well as Corporate Governance. During his years of service, he participated in many core industry-level committees and projects within banking, Digital Payments, Technology, and cards industry.
Mr. Ahmed Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of CrediMax BSC, a leading financing company in Bahrain which specializes in Digital Payment solutions (Issuing and Acquiring) and FinTech innovation. His previous roles included heading IT as the CTO, Alternative/Digital Channels, as well as heading card operations for several banks.
